You show up every year. You place your order, wear your sticker, share the link, and in doing so, you become part of something far bigger than a single purchase.
We know budgets are stretched and times are not easy. That you still choose to stand with us says everything.
From the NCPD Casual Day Thank You
Over Three Decades of Real Impact
Since 1994, Casual Day has raised more than half a billion rand, flowing directly to more than 700 beneficiary NPOs, schools, homes and workshops across all nine provinces, as well as 11 university disability units, SAPS and the SANDF.
In South Africa, according to STATS SA 2022 the population of South Africa is 62 million.
To determine the number of persons with disabilities we use 17% as per WHO and ILO.
Persons with disabilities: 10,540,000 million (Of the 62 million)
Children below the age of 18: 21,000,000 million
Children below 18 with disabilities: 3,150,000 million (Of the 21,000,000 million)
While unemployment remains disproportionately high and everyday barriers continue to affect access to education, employment, services and opportunities.
Every sticker. Every T-shirt. Every order through the Casual Day Online Store.
It all goes somewhere real.
It helps organisations continue the work that matters, creating opportunities, providing support, developing skills, advocating for inclusion and helping build a South Africa where persons with disabilities can participate fully and equally.

Beat As One: Rhythm Matters
Beat As One: Rhythm Matters is this year’s theme, and it is an invitation.
A rhythm does not ask everyone to play the same instrument. It simply asks each person to add their own beat to the collective pulse.
That is what inclusion looks like: not uniformity, but harmony.
On Friday, 4 September 2026, South Africans, schools, companies, families and communities, came together to show up as they are, add their rhythm and take hands alongside persons with disabilities.
Our campaign colour, Burnt Orange, brought warmth, energy and visibility to that collective beat.
But the beat does not stop when Casual Day ends.
The Beat Continues
Casual Day may be one day on the calendar, but inclusion is not.
As we move into the last few months of 2026, with Disability Rights Awareness Month (DRAM), and so much more we invite you to keep the conversation going.
Keep asking questions.
Keep creating accessible spaces.
Keep opening doors to education, employment and opportunity.
Keep listening to the voices and lived experiences of persons with disabilities.
And, most importantly, keep showing up.
Disability rights are human rights, and meaningful inclusion happens when awareness becomes action.
The organisations supported by Casual Day continue their work long after the stickers come off and the orange shirts are packed away. They are working every day to support persons with disabilities and families in navigating life that do not disappear when a campaign ends.

We Thank You
We know that organisations, businesses, schools, families and individuals are navigating challenging times.
Funding gaps are widening. Costs are rising. And the need for meaningful support has not gone away.
That is why your support matters.
Your Casual Day purchase is more than a contribution. It is a message that says: we believe in a more inclusive future.
And there are many ways to keep that message alive.
You can continue supporting Casual Day and make a difference. You can learn more about disability rights and accessibility. You can encourage your workplace or school to become more inclusive. You can challenge assumptions and stereotypes when you encounter them.

Sometimes, change begins with something as simple as asking:
“What can we do differently?”
Keep Your Rhythm Going
Casual Day reminds us what is possible when thousands of people choose to add their beat to something bigger.
Now, as we enter the last few months of 2026, we look forward to Disability Rights Awareness Month (DRAM), let’s keep that rhythm going.
Because inclusion should not be a once-a-year moment.
It should be part of how we work, learn, communicate, design, employ, participate and live every day.
Thank you for showing up.
Thank you for adding your rhythm.
And thank you for helping us keep the beat going.
Beat As One. Rhythm Matters.
The movement continues.
